Framing Completed

I spoke with the tradesperson who said framing will be completed today. It still looks if it's missing something be he knows better than I. The SS was also measuring here and there and said the brickies will be delayed and won't arrive till late next week. Still plenty of time as our completion date is 7/10/2014.

Bricks!

Received a message from our next door neighbour that our bricks arrived today. Also received a text from our SS saying that the roof frames have been completed. I hope my wife took some pics today as it is dark by the time I get home.

Windows Arrive

Didn't get any photo's today as I was working. Had a look tonight and seen we have windows sitting in the garage. The roof trusses are well advanced and maybe all framing will be completed by the weekend. Over the next 6 weeks I'm either on holidays or nightshift so I will be able to watch the house progress.

Frames Progressing

More progress today and wow it's BIG. Had a chat with the tradespeople and they said a crane will install the roof trusses on Monday weather permitting. They even moved the door frame out of the mud for us. It's starting to look like a house now.

The door frame is now behind the red sheeting and out of the mud.





 

Framed!

May Day and we have framing started. Looks like a big Mechano set waiting to be put together. My kids would love to have a crack at! The front door frame also arrived and with rain forecast over the next few days, I hope it doesn't damage it.

Not sure about this being exposed to the elements.



Frames have Arrived!

The frames arrived today and also noticed we have power and water connected. Most probably won't start framing until Monday or Tuesday next week letting the slab cure properly.

 

Termite Barrier

The Termite barrier was laid down today and a mini excavator flatten the dirt out the front. I spoke with the operator and he said the frames are to arrive tomorrow.
