Garage Doors, Water Tank & Kitchen

30/6/2014

Today is the end of the financial year and it brought the roller doors, water tank and our kitchen(Thanks bradk for the heads up). The downside is we are now locked out. The photos are not the best but I will update them when I get a day off as it was well after sunset when taken. I wish we would of made the roller door to the rear of the third garage bigger but we planned to have the water tank to the left of it but had to change that idea at the last minute. I then forgot to increase the width to 2 metres so now we have a baby 1.5m door.

More Electrical Work

11/6/2014

I drove past today and noticed that the Sparkies have been again and installed the wiring for the external lights and GPO's. Also there are two eave vents on opposite sides of the house.

1st Walk-through

10/6/2014

Our first walk-through happened today with our SS. I noticed mould growing on the window sills in the spare bedroom and the entertainment room which I pointed out to the SS, some fibre sheeting under the eaves on the front patio needs to be fixed or replaced and the gutters above the garage were missing paint due to the roof sheeting being dragging across it. The SS said to note these at PCI inspection which I duly will. Other than that it's moving along nicely with the insulation going in Thursday and gyproc starting Friday. My wife is excited as she realized that from the Master bedroom and front patio, we can see Lake Macquarie, something we didn't think was possible when we bought the block of land. This could change though depending on the neighbours orientation of their house which is still to be passed by Council. I looked at their plans online and by my calculations we still should be able to have the water views.

Looks like mould

Fibre sheeting cut a bit short.

The Plumber was busy working this morning when I drove past. I just had a look then and seems everything is in the right place. I'll double check when we have our first walkthrough with the SS shortly. Also Electrical rough-in should not be too far away.
